This course explores the complicated world of the discipline of federal employees who engage in misconduct -- complicated in large part by a general misunderstanding of the basic principles of discipline and employee rights, and the widely-held belief that a federal employee cannot be terminated for any reason. The principles presented in this course are well-established, founded heavily in Title 5 of the United States Code, and derived from over 25 years of court decisions based on that law. This interactive module has been developed by William B. Wiley, a federal employment law attorney with extensive experience as a representative, a federal employee, and an adjudicator of cases involving all types of discipline.
