This course provides an explanation of the origin and purpose of universal design principles and the federal guidelines that relate to educating students with disabilities. The course also examines strategies and steps for implementing universal design principles to improve success of curricula and instruction for all students. Finally, the course provides practical knowledge and application for designing instruction and assessments using universal design principles.
